Bio

I am an undergraduate student at North Carolina State University studying English with a concentration in professional writing and rhetoric. My work focuses on environmental policy, institutional systems, and the role of communication in shaping decision-making.

Research & Academic Focus

My primary research examines conservation banking in California as a form of market-based environmental mitigation. Using data from RIBITS and spatial analysis tools, I study who purchases conservation credits, where transactions occur, and how demand varies across regions and sectors.

This work is grounded in federal environmental policy, including the Clean Water Act and the Endangered Species Act, and explores how regulatory frameworks interact with development pressure and ecological conservation.

Professional Experience

Alongside my academic work, I have developed experience in leadership and workplace communication through roles in both hospitality and university administration. As a supervisor at La Farm Bakery, I managed team coordination, customer service, and daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

I currently work as an HR and Professional Development Student Assistant with NC State Campus Enterprises, where I support employee training initiatives, manage program logistics, and contribute to internal communication efforts. This role has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly within structured organizations and support large-scale operations.
